Working on her master’s in literature, while juggling four crazy munchkins, Laura is an aspiring novelist and lover of books, so much so she collects them far faster than she can read them! And what is the one thing she wants to do after reading that final page of her latest read? To talk everyone’s ear off about it. The only problem, no one wants to hear it, which is a shame. The problem of being a reader who is surrounded by non-readers. She aims to show people why reading is amazing and why a book is always better than a movie.

The Shelf is all about those books Laura is trudging her way through, and what quirks make the book worth the time to read. Less of a review and more about what makes the work unique.

The blog is just all things reading and writing related from opinions, quirks, irks, and any other random thing.

The notebook of a Wannabe Writer are works of fiction written by Laura herself that are not published but she wants to share with the world.

Enjoy!

Having grown up in chaos, Laura is nothing new to a busy household. When not reading, whether for business or pleasure, she is child-rearing, picking up Legos, and toy cars, or pleading for someone to put their pants on. Okay, that sounds wrong, but when you are raising three young boys and one rather angsty teenage girl, things get crazy. Together, this happy, albeit chaotic, family lives off the coast in the great Pacific Northwest.
